As the saying goes, fail to plan, plan to fail. That’s certainly my philosophy as a coach both in health & fitness and 8-ball. In fact, it applies to anything in life.
Most people are like sea captains with no destination, seamlessly meandering the ocean and going around in circles often finding themselves back where they started. This leads to frustration, disappointment, and quite often resentment, leading to eventual quitting.
There is a better way.
On the topic of 8-ball, that means structured, deliberate, and specific practice designed to improve your game and keep you moving forward. I do this for my students in a fashion that allows me to assess, track, and measure their performance in training and progress them as they master the work.

Practice is designed for each individual student based on various factors including, their available time to invest, weaknesses, and their level of ability.
